The surplus hardware store up town used to have the Stens Zama kits and I've used several that were very satisfactory.

They have mostly Stens Walbro applications now.

Like was said earlier, the Stens kits are OK but are not much different in price than OEM.

I wish that place was next door like it is to you.  I go in there and lose my mind what I went in for sometimes. Got to focus. LOL

Update on the carb kits. I have used some of these now and have had no negative issues. I'll continue to use this vendor primarily because they have great prices. The biggest problem for me is trying to decide which kits to stock. I have a variety of saws and it seems like they all need fuel system work. That's why I try to stock all the sizes of fuel line as well.

I stay with OME for saw all my saw parts. Chains I run woodland pro chain on my huskys and dolmar and bars wise Stihl on my Stihls, on my mid sized ones oregons. The 288 is going to get a cannon. I use them too cut wood for myself and my cousin. Plus I take down trees and cut them up for wood works. I don't have any time to spare with break downs. I cut weekends and when I get home for work spring, summer and fall. Plus I do take some time too get some fishing in. ;) Also I love saws, it is my hobby rebuilding saws for me and others.
