I pulled this 1800's cant - hand hewn beam out for your guys faster chains.   ;)

Only beam I saved from my barn that went down in 2006.
Was going to use it for a mantel but plans have changed over waiting 10 years.

That almost seems like it is a sacred piece of wood being so old.    Besides it is probably hard as a rock and would break all the cutters off of my chain.     My chain is made for soft wood like pine.

Well I guess I better get busy on my chains

I never did get started on one either.  I think I will squarefile 1 and round file 2. Depends on how the square file one goes if I do 1 or 2 square or not.

I actually hit a 1" round 1' long metal object inside one of the beams in 06.

Roger your chain arrived today.

Started filing my square entry.  Not happy with the 1st 4 cutters already. Dont have the side forward lean I like.  Plus the file I used on the PS CBO started chattering on the 4th cutter.
Not good at all. Will be a last place chain or bottom feeder and slower then stock, calling that right now.
