Thinking about round filing a 33LG from its 5/32  to 3/16 to see how it does compared to the 3/16 cutter stock chains.

All my chains are about done, being I added a 4th chain in LG33 to round file too.  Just want to see how it does going from the 5/32 cutter to 3/16 like the other 325chains. I had to stop on it today so not finished.

Did do and finish the 20LPX today and what a pita just round filing. Had to file it twice round to do what I was wanting to try round filed. Should have squared filed it as it would have been easier.

All my chains are new out of box chains with just the front of cutters refiled again.  Just like last round. Cutters not back where they start cutting the best near rear rivet and like race chains are made from.

Square filed 33LG is something new I wanted to try and bet my round filed one will prob out cut it.  It isnt right at all, but wanted something different from the norm.

Square files RS is going to be a turd. Looked at it today again. It is just fubarred and way way off.

Just hoping to beat stock chains at this point and highly doubt it.

Be interesting to see the results. I just wonder if this stuff will clog with chips.

Its just the wrong time of year IMO. I should have thought this though but we were rolling after the rd1 rd2.

Oh well least there is a few new guys and some last rounders in still.

I'll be happy just to see how the 4 stock chains run back to back. Being this is a chain I dont use much. But do sell to a few here.   Matter fact just sold 2 loops of 74DL RS today.

No chains from me this time. Not enough time to get everything done. Sorry. Maybe a round 2 in the fall would work.

Mike from my experience with 26 and 23RS chain it cuts very well. I do think that clipped heals will help with chip flow. They will roll a big chip. But the saw that is being used should not really be a problem it will pull right through. On smaller saws like a 350/346 husky or 026/260 stihl you can tell it slows a bit it the softwood.

FEAR NO TREE. FEAR GOD.

I been under the weather a bit. But it is shaking off.

I dropped my ole 2 car garage this weekend. So I need to get it cut up and removed before I can get into any chain testing. Got alot of plants that were starting to come up under the walls now.

Then I will install the 346 set up ( Thank You jmester ) on the 357xp ( Thank You 660magnum ) and put the 8T 325 rim on it and then tune to my mix.

Not many chains in this round and my bad of going with the adrenaline  off the last round. We should have waited to winter again.

I am thinking there is is about 12-15 chains and 4 stock chains. I never counted so just guessing. Will update with list when I set them out.

Thanks to those that was able to enter.
