Wild262, looks like you missed my last post while you were posting yours :D
Like I said you won't break the LoPro Picco. Looks like you got some bars with the 3/8 LoPro noses. Now all you need is a LoPro rim in small 7 spline which is not available.

This is my best advice.
Buy a Stihl 3/8 Picco 8 tooth rim part#0000 642 1241
Machine out the mini 7 spline bore big enough to slide over your 346 drum splines. Line up the rim on the drum in line with the b/c. Silver solder it in place.
You may possibly be able to cut the seven splines in the bore to avoid the silver soldering.

Trouble with small Huskies is the out board clutch drum splines have to mesh with the oil pump worm gear.

Sounds like a lot of trouble.  Just run the standard 7T 3/8 rim. Keep the chain sharp and keep an eye on the tension.

Hea Holmen, this is a pleasant surprise!   I was hoping to hear from you tonight.  I see where you sent me a message bout same time I sent one.  I left the house to work awhile on those treetops.  You know I do remember reading your post about milling with a 660 some time ago, but had forgot you were using the 3/8lp chain.  If I recall it was for a smoother cut I think.  So you never broke one!  That's good to hear.  If it would stand up to milling with a 90cc+ saw, than I have nothing to worry about.  That's increditable.   Now your only talking about the Stihl picco PS3 (63) correct?   Did you try any other 3/8 LP?  I have quite a lot of this.   As far as the bar goes, I have a 16, 18 and a 20" I can modify to make it work.  Your idea on the ring gear & clutch drive is a good one which I might do if I have trouble with the standard 3/8ths.  Thanks a lot sharing that with me.  This is what I was hoping to do, was to discuss this with someone who actually did it.  Are you still milling with this setup?  I have a box full of Huztl 660 parts I need to assemble one day soon after I get a few more projects done.  I can thank Weimedog for that.  I'm hoping to use it to mill someday as well.  This chain I have just may get used for that as well.  Very happy to hear from you Holeman.  Thanks

Your welcome W262.
I milled with almost every brand of LoPro 3/8 chain since the early 1990's. Oregon 91 is just as strong as Stihl Picco.
I just started a few years ago milling with the 63PS chisel on my 066. Cuts even better then the PM. I just sold my 066 but have another 066 (bit newer) which I'm setting up with the Picco spur sprocket drum.

Stihl has sold the 066/660 7T Picco spur sprocket drum for years (longer then I remember) under the Logosol brand name . I also got the Logosol Stihl bar.

Now to explain better. I mill the slabs off the big logs 20" diameter and over with my 090AV or 395XP with 36" skip tooth .404 square filed chisel chain.
After I get the squared cants made I mill the lumber or beams off with the 066 with 16" Picco b/c.
The reason for the narrow kerf Picco is I can get an extra piece or 2 off a cant.
Think of an extra couple of 2"×12"×16ft pieces of lumber.

You bet.  Those 2 extra slabs are make a big difference dollars wise.   Does it loose an edge any faster than any other milling chains?   I'll research Logosol and try and find it.  Appreciate all your help sir.

Bailey's Woodsman Supply is where I got my Logosol 066 sprocket drum. My Stihl dealer has the bars.
Yes it holds a good edge filed with a 5/32 round file at 10degrees top plate. After my cants are cut there is no bark to dull the little chain .

I don't edge my lumber after.  I always mill 2 slabs with bark off 90 degree to each other with the .404 -090/395. Then set the Alaskan mill to what size lumber width I want (4" 6" 8" 10" 12"14") then mill the cant off. Prop the cant up with bark side on the ground.  Then mill off 2" etc with the 066 Picco.

A well thought out approach with the milling.  Your getting the most out of your log that way.  Just courious as to what you file your rakers to?

I have ran it a little on a 346 with a regular 3/8 sprocket. So far no problems.

He also said the Oregon 91 was just as strong.  That's a lot cheaper than the picco  :)

I like 63PS 63PS3 the full chisel chain. Now if cutting dirty crappy stuff I throw on the semi chisel.   Was only paying .18 a drive link for ps ps3.
