445 narrow kerf
« on: May 02, 2014, 09:46:11 pm »

I just bought a husky 445 with a 16" bar. It came with H30 pixel .325 chain. I am pretty happy with the way it cuts as is. Was wondering if anyone has any advice on the benefits [or not] on running a standard .325 bar and chain on this saw. I know it takes less power to run the pixel chain, but maybe the standard would cut better? Thanks for any thoughts on the subject.

All you will do is waste more wood. The narrow kerf works very well on a 45cc saw, I cut a lot of firewood using it on a 345. Applications are limited though as it is only effective on the microlite bar which is not available for some mounts.
