Chainsaw Repair

I really appreciate  the replies. Happened to think of ham radio buddy that is an electronics engineer and asked him where the DPDT should be placed. I thought I would post his reply:

   Hi Eldon, It should go on the side, between the capacitor and the motor.   I would put it
   there just in case the capacitor is polarized.  Putting it on the other side of the
   capacitor shouldn't make a difference.

I will mention that I have done business with John Brooks of Brooks Enterprises. He is very nice to deal with and is very knowledgeable about the Nielsen units. He also made his own grinder (Brooks B125) but it is not being produced. I have gotten grinding wheels and a K50 stop pawl from him. He stocks a grinding wheel that is very hard for doing depth gauges on the Nielsen grinders that I really like. I do not know if is available for other grinders or not. I have a different phone number for him that I have used and a fax number. It has been a year or so since I got something from him.
