Just a ball peen hammer, punch and an anvil block with the different pitch slots is all you need.
I re use the punched out side straps and hammer them back together. Always lots of rivet material left to make a strong joint, just make sure you center the punch deadon when disassembling so you don't bent the rivet which would then be useless to get the opposite side strap back on.
