I understand that Blount, as a parent company, owns Oregon, Carlton, and Windsor, but that the brands are maintained as separate products.  Blount also owns some other companies:

Oregon has private labeled chain for chainsaw manufacturers for many years. So chain labeled 'Husqvarna', and many others, has typically been Oregon made chain.

STIHL manufactures its own chain for STIHL saws.

Carlton chain is also sold as Bailey's 'Woodland Pro' brand, but comes out of the box stamped 'Carlton'. My Echo also came with Carlton chain.

Tri-Link ('000') is made in China, and I have seen it sold as Home Depot 'Power Care', as 'Silver Streak', and as 'Forester' chain. Some of these guys switch suppliers now and then, so you may see something different.

Not sure who made/makes 'Total' chain.

Back to the OP's original question, there is a lot of individual preference. Some people even like Oregon in certain sizes and STIHL in others. Etc.

I never heard of 'KOX' chain before - the photos sure look like Oregon to me.

ICS is for cutting concrete.
