I am in !!
Can we send more than 1 loop ?
I can send in an off the roll PS3 for baseline

I absolutely freaking LOVE the fact that all entries will be video'd and all times will be posted !

Is the saw muffler modded ?
Would be better for me if I knew a little more about the saw you plan on running it with, especially if you are going to a 6 tooth driver

anything for us lame round filers?

Just round file. Heck I might just put my name to the stock chain for times.
As I dont square file for chit.  I guess I could try one of my modified round filed deals like back in the beginning.   Just not into it but thought others might like to try and see.

Just so you know I will have a PS  PS3 stock off the reel chains for comparison sake.  To see gains or losses.

Pretty sure I have a roll of the ps3. Happy to make loops for anyone who wants to participate.

Thank you for offering this up.  I would to but I am down to about 80dl ps3 and out of ps. Just a ps loop or 2 left.

It has already been brought up soooooooo. Please start with fresh loop of chain.
Someone was already wanting to send in a 3/8LP racechain they made this year in wrong DL count.   ::)

Lets all start with stock chain and file from there. Some of us just dont set around for hours and hours  filing race chains for fun.

All chains must be sent in or dropped off by dead line ( date still to be decided). Then they all will be tested at a later date.

Please do not take the fun out of this sort of thing.

#3 Will try and check today.

#5 stock saw with very slight under deflector muffler mod (want this about chain, not ported saw).  IF the 45dl will work with the 3/8 7

#6 yes

#7  right now leaning toward echo 3900 39cc, also have option of poulan 295 46cc and 6 spur (if I order the LP spur set up), 2700 46cc 3/8 7 (would need to check fit on this too), also 025 250 if I buy a spur set up and 12" bar (then I think they are 44dl, but I lean toward 45dl as more common IMO.

We have plenty of time folks all winter. No hurry. I am working 6-7 days a week and then fixing other folks saws on the side. Heck had 3 come in yesterday.

Already sent 1 email asking about 8x8 cants.  So will tell wood type when I find out.

Thinking shag bark hickory or black oak should separate men from the boys.  ;)

Link to one of the old chain build offs.   http://chainsawrepair.createaforum.com/chain/chain-build-off/10/

We put names to the letters later on as we had nothing to hide.

It's all said and done and posted on CompetitionSaws.  Just updating thread and sharing info here too.

Thanks to Steve and Jay doing all the testing with a stock 3120 and 9T practice saw  ;).  3 single cuts in 10x10 yellow poplar.

Link to chains tested.  http://www.youtube.com/user/competitionsaws/videos

Steve = Here is the results of the chain build off. I want to thank everybody who sent chains and  Monday I will be sending the chains back to you. Had to do some filing on the bar adjuster holes but she'll work. 45dl puts it at the end of tensioner. Can drill another hole if it ends up being needed later.

Only 10" of usable bar to the plastic dawgs. So 8x8
