I've got some 36" loops if you want them Matt. Might be semi chisel in them as well. Might work better for that 36"

I dont care if he cuts the safety bumpers off the PS3 for work chain.  I'm not, as they dont effect anything on this chain like the crap oregon put on their SL chain.
Tree guys said they dont even hurt the bore cutting to bad.

stock untouched ps3

Mike going to save a couple before they get lost forever.  Copy and paste info

3ci 8x8 poplar   http://competitionsaws.createaforum.com/racechain/3-cube-chain-build-off/120/

Least my 2 POS (nicknames) chains were faster then stock.  C and D   8)  My chains cut4fun  My D chain had less then a hour on it.  No stoning, tunneling or anything. Just a work chain square filed at about the right tooth length.
My C chain was a B-grrrrrrr  drawing blood and a couple of (2) hours of  time trying to fix mistakes. Tried to fix a cutter I tried that was way to aggressive and then took the rakers to low when I got the tooth back to far.  Never did get the cutter back where I wanted it ::)   No stoning, tunneling or anything either.
Mike A
Ron E F G all chains were ground. E had ground rivets. F was Woodland Pro\Carlton chain. I see why no one uses that.... G was tunneled under the cutter.
Winner was Cale bloodontheice H

We made 3 cuts with a stock chain and the times was
stock 3.53 291 312 with a average of 3.18
a 2.60 2.41 2.40=2.47
b 2.50 2.69 2.40=2.53
c 3.00 2.76 2.65=2.80
d 2.28 2.35 2.25=2.29
e 2.56 2.34 2.50=2.46
f 3.50 3.15 3.15=3.26
g 2.38 2.31 2.44=2.37
h 2.18 2.25 2.28=2.23

Thats what threw me off when a stock chain out cut filed chain  :o. Never really seen that happen on a chain build off before.  :P  Some close but not that bad behind stock.

I have to say that those 2 stock chains (RS and RSL) were some of the best I ever got off any roll. Seems Stihl made them super sharp, maybe one of the first few batches after they dressed or replaced the grinding wheels in their production machines

I have had rolls that needed sharpening to cut, and then I got those 2 rolls that were phenominal ........... all direct from Stihl

Exactly.  ;D ..Well put mopar. I'm still using the stock 20'' that came on my 590 but it does ok , before i ever used it i filed it my way and it does real good in red oak, yella pine, etc. Live oak is IMO the worst wood to cut , its really dense , Thats just how i have seen it . I know live oak has hurt my sharpening feelings/pride before much like dyno's do to car engine builders....lol
