Still need to seal and wrap them up for storage. But already inside fresh from the mill.   ;)

Thinking I will make sure the better filers chains are put right through the middle of a knot.   :D ;) :D ;D ;D :P

I have to say that those 2 stock chains (RS and RSL) were some of the best I ever got off any roll. Seems Stihl made them super sharp, maybe one of the first few batches after they dressed or replaced the grinding wheels in their production machines

I have had rolls that needed sharpening to cut, and then I got those 2 rolls that were phenominal ........... all direct from Stihl

That test was interesting. The first piece of wood we ran in was tough. Material removal wasn't a factor with a 59cc saw pulling the chains.
It just needed to slip through the wood at a reasonable rpm and use the least amount of HP to do the job possible.
No surprise the stock chains did well.
When we added power and pine, that all changed!
The chain I used was a clapped out work chain that had about 1/3 of the tooth left, then just filed. No other work. Just made sure the teeth were all the same.

Round 1  with the stock 39cc will be a test it seems for folks.  Heck never know a work chain may beat the race in this one.

I was thinking.

I could mod the K095 mount to use on a K041 and if it will except the 44dl along with 45dl we could have a round 2. Using a stock 60cc small carbed poulan. That way it is still the chain making the show but  more torque for those IF to aggressive filed chains.

Just have to play it by ear weather time wood etc.  But I can get cants made anytime if other 2 are good.
