My vote is for low CC saw test only, no sense in running 50cc saws too. Everyone knows the program and should make a chain to suit..

I agree with Adam..
Purpose built chain for the baby saw.
Purpose:
Make a square cutter that'll out cut the very good stock offering.
On a low HP, stock saw.
May prove to be a difficult task!
Lol..

And there is my feeling too. So it is. 39cc was chosen in beginning and we know way ahead what to build for. Heck even dug up stock operating numbers.

Doing it that way will save me a lot of time in the cold.

1 saw and 3  cuts then averaged ?  Since I have 3 cants.

I just sold one of those for $5 to get it off my shelf.   Mine was a non-runner so cant say even if ported. http://www.echo-usa.com/tomwin41/Techdata/cs-330evl.pdf

Any video with stock 3/8LP chain?

CRAPOLA !!
I would have given you $10 for it !!!!
Video eh ??
Here is one with her blubberin away .......... had to throw off someone with a little sandbagging in hickory

:o  Very Nice work there on the little guy. I wouldnt have believed it.   8)

Reason only $5.  I owed $5 change to a guy on 2 other saws. He sells parts on ebay. I mentioned hey you want that  330evl there for $5 to save me from walking to the house.  ;)

-Cut4fun;                1 stock PS, 1 stock PS3, might do a round work or 2 filed different ways

-awol;                      1 PS race chain and one PS work chain

-Gatekeeper;            1 or 2 square

-aclarke;             I'll do round and chisel PS loops. Be interesting to compare the round vs chisel.

-Moparmyway;         2 of each (PS and PS3) squared, all work chains. Possibly 1 PS race

-Hedgerow;                   square

Thanks Cut, you should see her with the adjusting screws justa little tighter ............. IIRC, max WOT was 10,000 before porting.
That is a 16" bar on her too - and the tip disappeared in that video.
One day, when I get to a GTG, I want to have a 35cc and under race .......... i bet she would hold her own ! Operator might suck, but the saw does run and I am sure I can dig up a decent chain somewhere  !!

You could have gotten $15 for the little guy .............. not much more, but it would have gotten you enough for a gallon of bar oil !

I wish I hadnt sold my left over square files now. There was 2 in there that most folks dont like but I have good results with. Was just wondering IF it would fit in there to square a chain.  Who would have thunk.

But I keep seeing all this bragging on square filed PS PS3 and I thought well lets just see who owns the roost for a saw size  the chain was intended for.     ;) ;D  Time to put up.  :P

Heck I run full 3/8 on my good running 50cc saws and there is a reason real racers run full 3/8 on their 3ci 4ci racesaws. ;) Some already tested and full 3/8 was on top.

I only new one guy that ran 325 race chain on a 3ci 50cc woods ported saw at gtg's and IMO the saw didnt have the balls to pull full 3/8 is why.  So 325 was always faster in his testing.  ;D

We have a saying at work.  :P

Who filed the chain in the Echo vid?  Looks like there's only one or two cutters doing the work judging by the wavy grain in the face of the cut!!   Decoy chain so we underestimate the competition?  Hahahahaha.
