I have puked 2 files on this chain already.
Trying to file these teeth back shorter is proving to be a pain.

I got 3 teeth that the file slips right across and won't bite as it is..
Not sure what I'm going to do with those.
I'll figure something out.

Thats why i aint doing a race chain ............. work only.
This PS / PS3 just eats up files
The tie straps are taking a beating too..
Kevin better wear his chaps!!!
lol..

These save edge files I got suck.
Just touched up one of the good LGX chains I got for timberfest, and the file was almost spent by the time I was done..
No excuse for such garbage.

Whatever file I use on the PS/PS3 is considered cannon fodder, new, used, whatever manufacturer, its junk.

Hedge, was it a new and unused file that you blew through with the Oregon chain ?

Round files dont bite into the driver like square does.

Have you been getting square files from Lowes ?

The files I have are some Stihl triangle files.   They are ok but nothing to brag about.
PP 505, 475, 445.

Yup.. just pulled it out of the sleeve.
I wonder if it is possible to have gotten a batch of soft files..?
They too expensive to be a pig in a poke..

Yeah, that aint right !

Save Edge has been good for me, but I havent used any of the newer ones that I just got.
I will grab a new one tonight and give her a good workout tomorrow on a .404 RS loop to see if mine suck too
