I have alway cut the rakers down on a new chain. No matter 3/8 LP , .325, 3/8. I like mine a little grabby. Maybe I went to far with mine. Just did it how I would do any other chain I would sharpen. Guess only time will tell.

Cut. If you run low on cants just run my square chain.
FEAR NO TREE. FEAR GOD.

Being my chains were work chains the cutters wasnt taken back to the sweet spot.  I just redid right where the new cutters were at.  So the rakers were left at stock height.

Now if you take a cutter back to the sweet spot by the rear rivet. Has anyone measured where the raker ends up from factory, with cutter to the back of rivet?  020 018 just a WAG. Never has a PS PS3 chain back like that before to know.

Take a look at my PS work chain
I was getting .010-.015 on it before taking them down
The PS3 is just squared

 See why now.  :P

All chains sent in will be run no problems.

I will hold 2 of the 3 stock chains back to make sure.  Even then only need a couple feet left to do that. Some to hold cant and 4 inches for 3 cuts for each.  Then figure cut off for knots.

I hope the white pine is more consistent than the yellow we were playing in.
I swear, even our pine sucks here..
Maybe we need to switch to cottonwood..

Got a good laugh out of this.  :D :D

I used to take aluminum foil bend to make prongs and pin it to pencil eraser.  ;D

That rusty scratcher chain would most likely out cut my entry, please don't send it to Ohio.
When you check out my chain cut4fun, keep in mind I'm probably the most "green" guy at square filing ::)
Then again, I can take the abuse lol I'm trying to learn.

Dang it. Thats what I forgot to do while in the barn.  Open the boxes.  Hoping the rest show up today. Boxes from folks I know of sent Monday isnt here.
2-3 day mail priority, we will see later.  I have to wait as one of the last on the route.
