I put the picco on the ported 026 yesterday.  Need to check something as chain isnt pulling through easily. Thinking hitting the bumper pads on cover.
You may have to shim both sides of the bar. Dont overlook the sprocket either. Its like running on a badly worn sprocket if your using 3/8".

It stops.  Thinking I seen cutter into bumper on the stock chain.

You need to mic the thickness of that original MS 180 small Stihl bar and compare it with a middle size Stihl bar thickness?

You need to shim out the width at the mount area to equal the thickness of a regular mount Stihl Bar?

If you don't have a regular Stihl bar I have a 16" Oregon that came off that saw that I can bring over?

Apparently the bar is thin like a narrow kerf bar?

Are you using a rim or spur sprocket. It turned fine on mine. I never did put the sprocket cover on.

I am thinking you and Shaun are right.  The picco bar is thin compared to my 16" windsor stihl bar.  Never thought about this.

Rim. It hits sprocket cover  bumpers.

Modified picco 12" and rim works fine on my 026.  Check the plastic insert at the oiler.  Any excessive grinding(heat) will melt these and cause binding.

Did I ever post work chain pics with the name tags under them?  I was reminded of this.

If i didnt do this it will be a bit. Life got busy with real work and side work. Vacation time is over.

Think I posted a few work chains without name tags on first round though.
