I used a 5HP stand  grinder at work  to remove most of the tabs then finished the rest off at home with a file .

Same here just used a bench grinder.

Glad the bar was not the problem. That 026 with that bar just looks fun!

@jmester please call me. Numbers in mod area saved for us all.

Did you test  the bar with 44DL chains with the 3/8 7?  First 44 I came to wont fit. I need to make slot longer and grind bar ends some I think.

What a start. First ratchet strap breaks so I had to get new. Because that was my last good ratchet strap.

Then had to stop on the 44dl chain.

This maybe get pushed back folks. Sorry.

Cut, I got 3 1/2 inches from center of crank to center of foward bar stud.

Just so everyone knows the saw I used and posted a pic of with the 12" bar was an 024 case with a 026 top end. I tried it with a 44 DL chain and all looked good. Cut4fun found out this morning that a 44 DL chain would not work on his 026. He need to add another tensioner hole and make the stud slot longer. If anyone has a 026 that could measure from the center of crank to the center of forward bar stud that would be great. It is the only thing I could come up with that would be different.

Didnt need to clip ends. Redrilled tensioner hole for 44dl and made slot longer. All was fine then.

I will measure much later too.
