Do they make universal depth gauge that works on all gauges of chain?

Well oregon has 6 different ones. 025, 030, 040, 050, 060, and 070. I thought you use same one too.

I see what you are saying now setting raker heights. I like 025 so I use 025. Then if I want 030 I use 030.  Have them up to  040. Never used 040 after trying one like that years ago.

I have one that is adjustable too, for doing 018 022 033 etc type stuff.

I use the Carlton File-O-Plate for chain I'm working on. They are chain specific. Also use the one on the Husky roller guide. Like the Carlton best.

I forgot all about those chain specific ones. 

 I tried a carlton one once. Gave away after that.  I just use the universal ones.

 Heck most that come in dont even know about rakers on their chain and never touch them.

I set a straight edge across two teeth and see what the distance to the raker is. . . .

I get it to .025" and I make all the other rakers look the same.

Most guys use .025 or .030.  There are some double ended depth gauge tools that have both.  I like separate gauge tools so that I don't confuse the ends and screw up.  Or you can do what 660magnum mentioned: use a straight edge and feeler gauges to get an almost unlimited range of measurements.
