Both 'regular' 3/8 and LP are the same pitch (same distance between rivet centers).  The tie straps and drivers on LP are shorter than on 'regular' 3/8" pitch.  That means that an LP sprocket must have a larger diameter than a 'regular' 3/8" pitch sprocket of the same tooth/pin count (both at the powerhead and at the bar tip).
