Inspect those chains

While doing a guys chains yesterday I come across this.  I went ahead and removed it and mended back.

Yep result from Stihl's hard cutters. Broke a few depth gauges off my Stihl chains too.
Looks like the working corner is bent up from the impact.
Making a living with a saw since age 16.

Not a stihl chain, thinking windsor. This chain was all out of wack.

I think that is a shadow or something weird happen in pic your seeing after looking at cutter.   Holding in hand that isnt there like it hung on the cutter.

I have never seen a cut bent outward like that.   I have hit a few things myself but it always bends the cutter down.

Just seen something I hadnt seen before. 3 cutters in a row filed or grinded at opposite angle it should have been. Thinking the older gent caught what he was doing wrong. Those 3 are done no fixing in a row on one side.
But did rest of cutters and put a new chain on. Going to tell them to use for back up chain when needed.
