Thanks for your replies, everyone. Hadn't checked here for a few days. Yes, narrow kerf chain cuts a narrower band of wood than the standard .325. The bars are also narrower. I was using a 361 with lgx 3/8 .50, then switched to the 346 with narrow kerf 95 vp and 95 vpx, (the low vibe version of 95vp). In a 14 inch aspen cut the 346 was three seconds slower than the 361 (13 and 16 seconds), and that was little enough time lost for me to switch to the smaller saw. (I haven't done a timed cut between a 3/8 standard and .325 narrow kerf on the same saw, but just in general, the 361 seemed much faster and smoother with the narrow kerf than the 33rsc (3/8) Stihl chain.) The narrow kerf setup weighed .7 lbs less than the 3/8 setup. The chains last me about three weeks compared to the 3/8 at about ten days in use of about six to seven hours a day. Considering the weight difference between the 361 and 346, the whole saw and narrow kerf setup was two pounds lighter than the 361 3/8 setup. So, I didn't have the same experience as Old Iron. I really like the chain, and the Husqvarna narrow kerf bars hold up fine, but would like to find a good quality narrow kerf  bar to run on the Stihl. It looks like I'm maybe out of luck because the Oregon Microlite bars, as I mentioned in the original post, don't hold up.
