whats the difference between the Oregon 72V and the 72LGX chain? I can't find the right literature to tell me.

I have a loop of 72V that came on a used saw. It cuts right well. I haven't timed it but just to use . . . it is great.

thanks,
so i'm guessing the laid over raker classifies it "safety"?
I've had both but didn't really notice the difference until yall pointed it out. i'm kinda dumb that way.
believe I prefer the straight up raker

I have the one loop and I'm going to use it up. But I doubt that I would go to any trouble to buy any?

Spend a lot of time filing a raker like that. Agreed hard to tell the difference when using either 72 lax or 72 v

The front line product dealers carry around here is rolls of 72LGX. To get 72V would typically be special order.

72V is what TSC used to sell as replacement here local.  I avoid the stuff. But will use it up if it comes in on something.
