Poulan chain oil?
« on: July 30, 2013, 10:51:20 pm »
Is it as good as Stihl, Husky, etc?  I can buy it for about $4.00 per gal less than the others locally.

It is packaged by the same company that does the Husqvarna oil in the USA.

The poulan pro in black bottle with red dye seems to be alittle tacker then the poulan in green bottle. I've used both with good results.

Didn't realize how much Stihl & Husqvarna bar oil had gone up here!  It's now $15 gal.  Poulan green bottle is $14 at saw shop.  Picked up the 3 gal Walmart had for $8.95 & will pickup more when they put it out!

I buy the cheapest I can find any more. The bar oil is often more than $10 around here.

I look for the $4 stuff but that is often "on sale" or close out stuff. The Walmart bar oil works OK.

Around here the Husqvarna, Poulan, Dolmar, Walmart, and Bailey's all come from the same place in Tenn.

The Wal-mart sur-tech is pretty thin and I use it for my winter oil and little saws like a poulan 2000 that dont have a driven pump for winter oil too.
