Jasha what is the difference in your hardwood and softwood grinds. Raker height only?

Top plate angles, I keep the rakers the same on both. Once I get some feedback from users I cam make any needed adjustments for the hardwood.

You'll probably want to set the rakers a little less aggressive for hardwood.  A bit too deep and they'll practically jump out dried oak.

I was thinking about that, but the takers on both angles are very conservative. I figured it would be better for the owner to make adjustments rather than fight the chains.

Ideas what you send them out at? Raker height.

I don't have a number, since I've always done mine by feel and eye ball. I do reference A gauge on a File-O-Plate, but for others I have raised them up a hair after referencing.
Do you hardwood fellas have a magic number?

I'm conservative for me and other guys I do at around 25 for hardwood, sometimes 28-30 when chain is getting closer to end

Depends on the saw too. I go closer to .030" for the most part.
