RD #4 Chain Build Off - Winter 2016-2017

Just so we can start hashing out which chain. What drive link etc.

IMO chain brand is makers choice.

Thinking woods ported 066 as test saw and 12" cant.

20" 404" would be different. Not a lot of use for that bar for most people though. I'm good with 3/8" in whatever drive link is easiest to get through a 12x12.

I would do bigger but my cant stand was built with 8x8 10x10 cold start back in the day.

Your stand is built for bigger cants and other folks building stands now days. If someone else would like to do the testing.

I can do 4 12x12" stacked on mine. I don't think anyone wants to file a 91 or 105 dl chain for racing. It doesn't matter to me. I know I'm home around Christmas usually for a week or longer. I could work it in if there's no snow the whole time and get pine or hardwood cants.

We can make another poll for length. If people are interested in 28" loops we can do it. Doesn't matter to me.

I'm down for 404, don't care about length, I'll just cut to length

HAHAHA...my smallest is a 84 DL!!!

The biggest I've done is a 141 DL...it didn't end up getting the "full treatment" lol

84 dl would be fine. I can easily strap 4 10x10 on my stand if anyone really wants to. Just let the majority decide. Plan to do it about Thanksgiving to Christmas time frame
