Silver Streak is brand of after market chainsaw accessories marketed by the Stens company. The parts are made in CHINA.
They are cheaper price point items.

Home Depot uses them on their Makita 6421 rental saws.

For me one would probably last the rest of my life. If you fell trees all day every day, then it might only last you two or three months?

To my knowledge they only have the laminated style. They don't have the solid bars with replaceable tips.

In the Stens 2012 catalog they offer those along with the solid and replacement nose bars. I guess I'll stick with the Oregon Armor Tip bar 240ATMD176.

Ive sold a bunch of silver streak bars and have had good feedback.   I think they are probably a decent bar.
