Combine the two guesses and you guys basically have it.

1971 IHC 1210 4WD crew cab pickup.  The 4-door pickups were called a Travelette by IHC.  This one has a 4V 392 V8 and an IH/Fuller T34 O/D 5-speed.  One of my many projects that are waiting for time/money/shop space....

Drove several IHC 1690, 1700, 1800 trucks with a 5 spd OD and 2 spd axle. The 20,000 and 24,000 GVW trucks had 345's but the 27,000 GVW 1800's had 392's. To hear me tell it, they drove like cars. Late 60's. I drove them in the hills as well as the flat lands. The 366 chevys and 390 LN fords were not any better than the IHC's.

At one location there was a 1969 3/4T 2WD pickup with a 304 V8 and 4 SPD. It was new but was more like the early 50's in the way it drove and felt. Reminded me of the old Dodge 3/4 Army trucks I drove in the army except it had more power.

Good stuff Jim.  At the park where I volunteer at, we have an ex Air Force 1971 Loadstar 1700 with a 45' Hi-Ranger insulated bucket boom.  Has a 2V 345 and a direct-5th T35 5-speed.  Unfortunately it has a single speed rear.

The widow of a friend has his stakeside flat bed dump Loadstar (year unknown, but it's somewhere between 1967 and 1973).  Has a 345, 5-speed (think it's a direct 5th), and a 2-speed rear end.  I hope to buy it from her some time soon.

Yeah you'd have to be a real **** Binder nut to get it right from just the hood.

The guy that picks up my trash has a fleet of Internationals with DT466 diesels and automatics. I don't know the GVW's but they look to be at least 24,000 - single axle. To my surprise, his wife says they bought all of them used as chassis/cabs. They all have white cabs.
