Comet reminds me of another older saw I had worked on.  Also posted 2 pics of same pic so I tossed 1.

Thanks for killing that second pic, thought it was of the roller nose bar, I'm going to chuck up a stainless cup wheel in one of my drill presses and give it a cool look before I clear it. As far as the powerhead, I'm torn as to just cleaning it or giving it a go in the soda blaster and repainting it, I'm switching my blaster over to glass bead and saws will be a no go after that in there so now I'm really confused. Right now I'm watching the weather forecast to see what gets done first, either putting up a greenhouse at my buddies place, finishing snowplow painting or working on saws in the basement shop. Really could use a couple days of good weather to wrap up the outdoor stuff.

I've got a pair of Makita 7321 concrete saws I bought on the cheap .They are Dolmars model 73 something or another .One had the coil off with a smashed plug wire and the other a busted pull cord . I switched starters  and evidently no sparky so I'll switch coils and plug wires and go from there .

I know almost nothing about these things and have no idea if a saw coil will enterchange or not .I certainly don't want to spend the flea bay price of 135 bucks for a danged coil .

The 7300 chainsaw coil is a dark red in color and is rpm limited around 13,500

The cut-off saws are probably limited at 10,000?

Yes it says right on the flywheel 10,000 rpms.I didn't think they even ran that fast.

Probabley the water spray might have cooked the coil for all I know.If I can get one of the two running I'll tinker with the other in due time . Not a big deal just one of many projects I have that eventually all get done .

It would be kind of nice though because I've cut concrete forever with an abrasive blade on a portable Skil type saw which leaves a lot to be desired .

The one in the bottom of the picture I got running .The pot licker gave me fits .I tried to start it with the decomp pressed in ,no go.Pulled it out ,fired right up .Odd!

I need to find a blade for it ,20MM arbor .All I have on hand are 1" arbors for my cut off saws .Lowes most likely ,close about a mile and a half .

I sure could have used this thing a couple years back when I had all that brick and sandstone to cut for the house addition .I wore out two Skil type saws and was buying blades 6 at a time .
