I've been slacking.
Fixed the 338 the other day.
Still need to pull the piston on PP365 and put new piston set and upgrade intake and carb to 330 set up so I can compare to 3500.
Wanting to pull the 3.0 and install the 335 top with 3450 piston. Just cant make myself pull down a perfect running saw though.
Still have the harley poulan project at stand still.

Bench #1 = 290 that needs put together.
Bench #2 = 362 Stihl that I have GOT to get finished.
Bench #3 = piles of crap and a 272, 372, & 359 that are all jumbled together + my Poulan 2500 limb saw that is not actually a 2500 anymore.
Bench #4 = very low hour 288 Lite that is getting cleaned up and wrap/long bar (36" lightweight) treatment.

On the Chainsaw bench.

Weather got up to about 46 today so I got out and was able to get a few thing done.
I finished putting together a Wild Thing that I got for free. I put a used piston and cylinder in it and then tuned it in some wood out behind the garage.
Next I pulled the carb off of my PP 395.   The last time I had out it would just die at WOT and no matter how I adjusted it.   Cleaned the carb and put a kit in today and all is well again.
Then I pulled the clutch off of my 3750 and checked the rim size on it and cleaned it up some.

All in all it was a good day on the ole chain saw bench.   Just the way I like it.

I'm slow but sure gathering up parts for an 034 super I got on the cheap .Finally found a decent air box cover for a decent price off flea bay.I think all I need is a fuel tank filter and maybe a set of rings, crank seals  .I think the piston might be able to be saved ,doesn't look that bad .Then again I'm not all that fussy with pistons .If it is junk an after market piston isn't that expensive .

I've got an 019T disassembled waiting for an oil pump to arrive. Also have a Mac 10-10A that isn't automatic anymore apart needing oiler repairs. (waiting on ambition), And I have the handle off the Stihl 070 and am in the process of putting rubber on the tubing. I need to spin up about 3 chains too when I get a chance. Wasn't in the shop at all today. Maybe tomorrow... I did get some trees felled last evening. Good thing as it's very windy today.

Sounds pretty busy.

I took a bunch of pictures today and weights of some of my Poulans and other saws.

Bustedknuckles when you install the oil pump in the 019T, two things
1) there is a window on the plastic case where the oil pump drive gear shows through the center of which is marked by being more roughly finished than the rest of the plastic, if the pump drive gear is not centered in that area the pump will not work.
2) when you install the pump using the screw you used to pull it out, be mindful of how much resistance there is to putting the pump in place. I have noticed that the plastic shrinks and the fitment of the pump is not tight enough to keep it in place. If this is the case you can wrap a little fuel proof Teflon tape around the pump body to get a tight fit. Don't cover up the inlet hole in the pump body itself OBTW if the pump was not centered in the opening the when you took it apart it would look s though the pump was bad when in fact it may not be. Cleaning up this little guy. Originally didn't have any fire because the moveable breaker plate was loose. Runs now.
