Interesting Jim.   I should have this one going today.   My wife wants to try it out.
The interlock switch that was bad on this one was the clutch drive switch.   It is a make, break switch and when released the engine would die indicating the break side was bad.

I am into it for about 85 dollars so far.   The mower was free.

Well finished up the mower and took it for a spin.   Works great and not bad for 85.00 dollars.
This going to work great for keeping the grass and weeds down.

350 done. If the 365 and 026 dont show up today. Will get a chance to dig into my own poulans.

I hate working on my 4 riders, but do it to save $$.    Putting the clutch in the IH CC was a PITA I will never do again.

Worked on a few lawn mowers over the years.

Somewhere 70's 1000 is all.  44" deck IMO to big for K 10hp. I use it for pulling rear tiller around now days.

Two MS460s with pistons seized.
The first one I could get going by replacing just the rings.
But on the second saw, I had to replace the piston.
The problem is the jet valves.
Older 046s and early MS460s didnt have this problem.
It is the high resin content in the rubber wood. It by passes the air filter and sticks onto the tiny mesh on the outlet of the jet valve.
This causes the fuel to lean out.
All the correction needed is tapping out the jet valve, prising of that mesh carefully with a safety pin, washing the jet valve and re-installing it.
I do it as a precaution on my customers' saws. But still others bring in their saws with the problem.
Looking at it one way, it is more business.  :)

Very cool.  I love the old IH (pre MTD buyout) Cub Cadets.  I've been an IHC nut for decades. 8)

I had a 127 for 30 years. The rear end looked like Kevin's. Parts nowdays - IHC specific - are made by MTD and are just terrible.
