I finally got that freakin McCulloch pm1000/Partner p100 to oil. That pot licker about gave me fits . >:(

Oiler from hell .Evidently what happens is the metal reed type check valves get warped .The automatic portion must go through the manual pump first according to what I found out .Carefully bend them straight, oil the dickens out of the reed with bar oil and squirt oil down the plug in the rotary oiler .

Blows the oil now by golly .I'd about bet enough to oil a 42" bar .

Last thing rebuild the carb .I couldn't believe it in all my junk I could not find a Tilley HS rebuild kit .Off to flea bay again -------

PP365  on #1 bench. Came back with weird idling issue.  Gave the new owner the 3500 even exchange.  Going to swap a carb to see if I am guessing right.  Was no issue when used last on the hills cutting pines.  Been setting since.

6700  on #3   bench taking down to do the carb swap back. Pulling 8000 carb and went through 6700 carb to go back in. Kit in 6700 looked great. Just needed cleaning.

I took a couple of pics today of the MS 460.  I got the muff mod finished up and saw tuned.
I ran it in some wood today as you can there in the picture.  Ash

All I can say Adam is that it was worth every penny.  Very nice running saw.

If you dont mind, I aim to copy your awesome looking idea, except weld up the clutch side opening and make the same exits out the flywheel side for stumping

Are those 1/2" copper elbows

That is half inch EMT that I bent to 90* and then cut the mate side of the pipe open a quarter of an inch and then welded the two together with a Tig and then used my flex shaft and a round burr to smooth it out.   I have done them with the pipe side by side and also with one on top of the other.   It just depends on the muffler and now much room there is for the welding.

On the 460 with the pipe being side by side I left all the internal places of the muffler for the spark arrester to still slide in place.
