Stiga saw
« on: September 11, 2014, 09:20:02 pm »
Anyone know anything about that "other" Swedish saw, the Stiga. I don't know if they're sold here in the US, but they have a website. If nothing else, they make a nice looking chainsaw, kind of remind me of a Partner, with the yellow color. They're made in Sweden, so they must be good! Thanks.

I am not familiar with that name myself.   Maybe someone from that part of the world will know.

I am familiar with Stiga riding mowers, good quality but not well known in North America, but had no idea they offered saws. Are they rebadged Partner?

The few I have seen have been cheap "homeowner" saws, that I doubt were made in Sweden?

They are merged with Alpina (and more), and have factories in Sweden, Italy, Slovakia and China, according to the website I linked up.

Stiga lawn movers have been quite common here, but I don't know the current situation. The saws turn up in hardware stores now and then.
