That was pretty awesome!
Wish I could tell what the E.T. was.

Neat . Never underestimate how fast a little tiny two cycle can move something .

Back in the 60's a local farmer Kenny B was national number one in the karting for several years ,won the Isle of Man TT twice in a row .Was once radared comming out of a turn on a road course at over 135 MPH and this was nearly 50 year ago .

In those days the drag strips used pneumatic tubing in the traps instead of lights like they do today .I saw Kenny out run a double engine dragster but the kart was so light it could not trip the timer .--flash from the past

I dont think there were doing E.T. runs. They were shooting for worlds fastest power tool.

I did find this, 72mph over a 1/4 mile with only 4 engines running. In september we had all 6 engines and managed to get 65 mph in 100 meteres. calculations suggest over a 1/4 mile we should achieve speeds of approximately 105 mph which is quicker than a Mercedes CLK AMG high performance sports car!

The mph with 6 engines seems wrong  ???

I watched that demonstration and heard that thing shift about 4 times which seemed odd to me .

Either something is awry with the timing or they really haven't got something right because they were achieving more speed than that in the 60's running twin engine karts .Depending on the gearing and track those could hit over 100 miles per hour on dirt tracks .

It would stand to reason that using whatever means to connect all the engines in some form or fashion would expend a lot of parasitic loses .

The old school kart engines it was just a 15,000 rpm engine and a chain sprocket .

None the less they reached the goal they set out to do evidently .
