Chainsaw Repair

I had ordered one of those dukes moly pistons kits for the G395. The $4.25 piston that comes in the Farmertec is hair off specs. Still runs good and great psi. But makes alittle noise from being out of spec.

See how those circlips are bent out. That isnt from me taking out. That was from install at factory.  I still cant wrap my mind how they do that installing.

I've done it out of curiosity myself with the G395. My G660 was a old blue tank one. G395 first batch blue.
Air filter set up 395
Oiler 395,
Weight G660 lighter.
395 outboard, 660 inboard.
660 side tensioner, 395 front tensioner.
I always knew 66 was lesser power but liked the less weight. Why I owned 5 oem 66's in past.
Only thing I still dont like on 395's is the little extra weight and be nice to have side tensioner too.
OEM dyno numbers. Both my G660 G395 beast. So figure out your wants and needs and support for saw.

I  was sticking a 24" on the Farmertec G395xp demo saw I got a year ago to  show someone.  I just  realized where they got the idea for that blue  color from.

Since folks asking about this. The first batch of orange G395xp on right that was painted over dull plastics to get them out there last year. Then the new ones on left that are molded in color. Easy to tell.
