Which Oregon saw(s) are you referring to?

They had some prototypes out for testing in the 1960s, and currently there is a battery saw.

Apart from that, the Oregon name is being misused in the marketing of some Chinese crap.

The current Oregon saws (battery, corded electric, pole saw, etc.) are designed and sold through a division of Blount, the parent company.  Most part are manufactured in China, except I was told that the Li-Ion batteries were made in Japan. Some components, like bars and chain might also come from other Oregon locations.

PS - there are some threads on these saws listed under "Cordless Battery OPE - Corded Electric"
