homelite st-185bc
« on: August 20, 2017, 07:56:44 pm »
Picked up a clean looking homelite st-185 bc today. Just for a powerhead so I could redneck another mini tiller.

Guy stated he just had carb rebuilt at a shop last week and decided to go battery powered trimmer for his in town lot.
But for the life of me I cant see a fuel filter in the tank anywhere  ???.   Might have to pull the lines to see if one of those that has filter up on tank itself where line go in.
Thinking shop just forgot filter.  :P

My other 2   JD T30S and SX135 just lay in the tank. I am thinking the shop forgot to put a filter on it last week.

They charged the guy $35 for carb rebuild and didnt even put on a filter. No problem with the cost, just didnt finish the job.
Guy would have stopped up inside carb screen if he had kept it. Glad I make a habit of dumping anyones fuel.

I had to run new line to add fuel filter. The shop that did it for him was about 4"'s to short. Reason the DA's didnt put a fuel filter back on I bet.  ::) :D

All I wanted is the powerhead to do this today. 2 of 3 done now.

Just rednecked another mini  tiller with the homelite trimmer  I bought yesterday.  Now just 1 more PH to find.  Hate those ryobi motors they put on these.
