Except it's not a McCulloch, it's a WEN 3818!  The MAC3818 is a different saw like below.

Pretty clearly the folks who make the newer plastic Homelites & Ryobis.

I had a Chinese 3818. Didn't care for it that much. It had 18" 3/8" low profile chain

I had a Chinese 45cc Homelite with 18" .325 chain that I gave to my son. He likes it and it has never had any trouble in 13 years but a dull chain. It sounds like it runs a much lower speed than my Stihl 025's. I've been trying to trade him a MS250 for it and so far - he doesn't want to trade.

I've never messed with any of the Chinese Homelites, but I will give them credit for not being direct copies of anything.  They are not breaking any new ground but at least they are original designs.

Man if I would have pulled my head out of my butt. That sure would have made finding IPL and parts easier.

Hey, in all fairness they tried their darnedest to make it look like a McCulloch!
