PAS 280 266 260 265 echo
« on: May 08, 2015, 01:28:38 pm »
So what are the big differences in power from the echo 280 v/s 266 and is  280 worth the extra $60?

Does the 280 266 have better torque then the older 260?

Just trying to make the right PAS choice.   http://www.echo-usa.com/Products/Pro-Attachment-Series

According to Echo all the PAS series use flex shafts?

In the straight shaft trimmers the "S" models have steel shafts

They cost $30 more than the same trimmer with the flex shaft.

It is my understanding all the PAS have flex shafts but cant confirm that. Never had one apart. "S" series have solid steel shafts along with the DSRM cordless trimmer.  Echo has a lifetime warranty on the flex shaft so no sense spending the extra money on a solid shaft.

EXCEPTIONS:
• For two-stroke engine powered products, the electronic ignition module, flexible drive cables, SRM solid drive shafts, and TC tines
are warranted for the life* of the product on parts only.

Sure would have thought they would have had a solid 2 piece shafts for the power broom attachment.

Guess it wasnt to wrong of the husqvarna dealer trying to get me to go with the 28cc 128dgx or maybe it was ldx with flex shaft. I just figured the power broom would need soild.

power broom 537 19 67-01 SR 600 for 125LDx, 128LDx, 323LD, 324LDx, 325LDx, 326LDx, 327LDx
