They work well clearing light dry snow, bog down in wet snow and slush. They also tend to bounce leaving ripples of snow. The FS 55 really does not have enough power to drive one, the wheel kit is needed to keep the pressure off the paddles. The bristle attachment is great for cleaning gravel out of the lawn.

Wife says to just rent the big sweeper from the husky dealer. Son home for Easter said he would rake it all for that $ when he gets out of college in May.  LOL I dont think he realizes how long and hard that is.  Believe it when I see it.

Bet I get the rental. ;)

Tested out that used PAS 260 today.  Look like she been used pretty good the PH part. Power broom part good shape.
Had a broken choke switch. Had to remove the cover and move choke closed with finger. Once got it running had to put air filter and cover on. If it died go through everything again.
Carb acted like it could use a rebuilding or a adjusting. Wouldnt take throttle.

So after testing telling the guy at pawn shop about the choke and how carb acted. I ask for his best cash price. Wouldnt budge off $309. I just turned and walked out.

Shipping would be a killer from there IMO.

I am a idiot really  :-X. I have bought 2 saws I dont need and they come to the price of that power broom I walked on.   Maybe I should have not bought the saws and put my $ where it should have went.   ::)
The one saw I just wanted to test out stock 181SE, the other is a saw on my list and not here yet. ;)

The 181SE will be going to a member that wants to collect it and will be coming to your state.  The other will go along my other 60cc versions ;) when it arrives. Will have more in the 60cc then I do the 81cc.   Now make sense of that.  :P

Glad to see it just isnt me. I mean dang. Blow $300 on saws I could have bought the dang power sweeper thing for the $309 asking.  Guess it was just the point with me walking from the pawn shop dude and his price.

I can rent a husky version for $46 for a day to try.  Least that is what their online place shows at the local husky dealer.  He also has that skidsteer with power brush for rent for 4hrs, 2hrs on meter for $89.

Finally pulled the trigger on a new one. I was going to buy a new gun or ?  I decided now was the time to get one of these and be done with it.

Nate convinced me into going ahead and getting the bigger powerhead Echo PAS 280.  Had him order me up the power broom rubber paddle attachment.

So hopefully will be visiting Nate's shop here real soon. Thanks Nate for putting up with me over the years asking questions on this.

@Nathaniel Vansickle  reading up on the 14 attachments offered for the Echo PAS system.

See there is 3 trimmer heads offered.  1 curved, 2 straight.

On the 2 straight ones, what is the difference between the cheaper one and the pro one?
