There were two different FS80 Stihls.  The more recent one (that is actually a Stihl design) is shown in that Backyardboss link.

The early FS80 was a Shindaiwa design.  Sold by Stihl in the early-mid 1980's.  I have a 1983-1984 or so production FS80AVRE that my Grandpa bought new.  Big heavy Shindaiwa design.  Has a TK slide valve carb.  Mine doesn't owe anyone a damn thing, having given 20 years of hard service before being retired for the most part.  It still runs, but is tired.  I'll post a few pics later tonight if can find them...
