I am not fond of the Powersharp chain, would prefer conventional 91VX and a file.

I did a side-by-side comparison with a lightly used PowerSharp chain, and 2 other Oregon chains (91VG, 91PX), new, out-of-the-box on this saw.  These were all 3/8", low profile, low kickback chains to keep it fair.  The PowerSharp chain actually cut slightly faster in that wood than the standard chains.  Test log was 5" box elder.

I don't know if a 5" diameter log is big enough to make a significant difference between PX and VX chain out-of-the-box.  Of course, how you sharpen it might.
