Chainsaw Repair

I can't test at the moment since the starter recoil spring is broken and I have to wait for an AM replacement. If I can't find a replacement for the broken starter spring spacer the I could probably make one out of soft copper shim stock. The owner said the saw would start and run but would quit when it got hot and not start again until it got cold, so I am still thinking coil.

I have had Solo saws in here where it was the trigger that failed, as well as several Husqvarnas 242s and 61s where it was not the coil but the exciter half of the mag.

What do you guys think to be the most likely culprit. The saw is in very good condition for its age and would be a very nice saw if I can get it running.
