The Husqvarna 372 socket will take the clutch off.

jared did a really good thread over on AS. http://www.arboristsite.com/community/threads/dolmar-makita-oil-pump-upgrade-modification.264696/ look through it and see if that helps. the little nub on the plastic piece is known to wear/break. repair kit is NLA so you either have to modify or replace the whole oil pump assy.

it seems logical to me that that plastic nub is probably gone. i can handle the plunger grind but is there no replacement adjuster available? did mr. Jared make them for sale?

I am sending in an order tomorrow if you can wait a few days. We dont have availability/stock  from makita right now. just what a crossover page tells us. It says the oiler rebuild kit is a valid part number but since it has been NLA from PD for 2-4 yrs i dont trust the Makita site. Lets find out if it shows up with my order. I have the lines and a complete pump in stock but that rebuild kit is 1/4 the price of the pump.
