I read our Dolmar dealer here talking about heated handles. So 6100H stock and price? Pics.

I still have my sweetheart, like new, 1997 Dolmar 6800iH with a brand new cylinder and piston. It was originally a 6000iH and I found a new 6800 cylinder for it. Probably heavier than a 6100H? It was a stumble upon lucky find about 5 years ago.

I think the 6100 PHO is right around 13lbs.

I would think your 6000H would be closer to the 15lb PHO range IMO.  But boy does she pull for a 60cc saw. Back when it was.  ;D

I think 6000i/6800i is a little heavier than a 6100 too.

The apparent feel of the 6000/6800 is smaller and lighter than my 6400/7900's

The Dolmar 6000i/6800i was a brake update on the famous Dolmar 116Si/120Si from the early 1990's. It uses the same piston/cylinder.

The old Dolmar 120  (no "S") was a 61cc saw with a longer stroke and a smaller bore from the late 80's. It had its own reputation back then.

There was a companion 116 (no "S") chainsaw to the straight 120 back then that was 56cc.

I have not talked to them much about the 6100H. There is an IPL for it. It exists across the pond but no clue if it can be imported here. I will find out soon enough though  ;)

Dolmar refuses to import it  :'(

I told them I'd stock all the special H parts so they didn't have to, and take a whole pallet of 6100H saws.  Still no...

Good try.

Give them time I am sure they will come around.  :)

Your suggestion likely had more long term effect than acknowledged?

I used to work at a factory where 550 people worked and it was part of a huge company (er I mean bureaucracy)

I used to gripe about negative pressure in the building causing trouble with setting of the process fires. Seemed to fall on death ears - none of the big cheeses ever responded.

I didn't get all new household appliances for the change but someone did? For within five years, the company was spending over a million dollars for temperature controlled make up building air. Thereafter the air pressure differential between outside the building and inside the building was almost neutral.
