Blowen up PS-5105 need price for friend
« on: July 20, 2014, 01:56:30 pm »
He has found a nice looking Ps-5105 with bad piston and cylinder. Plus missing muffler. My friend would like to know what it is worth that the most.

Thanks
Jason

At minimum it will take a $70 piston and a $35 muffler. worst case a $180 cylinder kit plus the muffler. $75 if its really nice and he really wants one otherwise $50

I'm down to 4-5100's.  I'll take one for $50-75 if you run across another one.

They aren't worth much for some reason. I personally love them. And I feel they should be worth what a 346 is. Just my opinion.

no argument here but they aren't worth much because you can buy them new for $440 so clean used one is worth around $300. If you have to put $150 into a blown up one plus labor I cant see giving much over $50. I will take a 5105 over a 026/260 any day. I have had several 26/260 and never been impressed.

I've seen em bring over $150 on Ebay scored cyl completesaw w/b&c.  Running saw $225 go figure.  I see it all the time w/Husky 359/2159.  Parts 359 $175 just saw real nice 2159 sell for under $220 needed nothing.
