I have a 115 that is a fine model airplane engine also. It was bought as a Brison 3.2. Like new, has never been run.

It is my goto chainsaw. I just like it for some reason? I have newer, faster, and lighter saws but this one is just likable.

What I like about that is that it has a part of you in the saw.   Your skill and knowledge is what helps make it a goto saw.    I am the same way about some of the Poulans I have worked on.

I am interested to see how the saw performs.   What does the "spa treatment incorporate" for the saw.

It's been ported and received a muff mod.  I hope to try it Saturday if the weather cooperates and I find an AF workaround.

Sounds great.  I would like to see a pic when you get the spike on the cover.

Well I went to get my Dolmar 112 out to do some cutting with and it is leaking again around the plastic plug where the tank vent and fuel line enter the top of the tank.   It seems my Yamabond fix did not last and has come loose.
I was wondering if there was suppose to be an oring that fits on there.
If not any recommendations for something else that I can use that will hold it in place and be resistant to fuel.

On the 6400/7900 Dolmar came out with green rubber pieces that went into the tanks as a result of the ethanol causing the black rubber to soften.

The "green" itself was probably just to identify the parts with the new formulation?

So is this something I can order and will fit the 112.

I just don't know?  Last fall Dolmar went around and obsoleted anything older than 10 years. I have a 111/115 & 6000/6800 and some parts are hard to come by. I think it was a EPA thingy but new cylinders dried up real quickly.

When I was writing the first post, I was hoping that some of the newer parts might fit the older saw?

Ok Jim thanks.
What I might do is try some of the fuel resistant epoxies that are out there.

Well I found some fuel resistant cement at the automotive parts store and decided to give it a shot.   So far it is holding pretty firm and no more leaks.    I started the saw up today and cut some wood.   Unfortunately I noticed it changing during idle when the saw was tilted sideways, so I am going to replace the crank seals.

What was pretty cool was when I was looking at the parts list for the part number it also gave the dimension of the seals.
That made them a lot easier to find without taking the old ones out.
