Thats a good combination of modern 5105/7900 and old 115/6800

I have never laid hands on the 5105. How does it stack up to the 115i?? I know the 116/6000 and 120/6800 are every bit as fast as the modern 6400. Just wondering if the same can be said for a 115i of 540??

And what is that additional on-off switch on that 6800?? IS that something you added, or were the 6000/6800's like that??
The situation with the 5105 is that it has a 1,000 rpm on the 115 and just as much torque. A 5105 has a catalytic converter in the muffler. These converters are heavy. I put a 5100 muffler on my 5105 to eliminate the catalytic converter. The 5100/5105 has a inboard clutch and the rims and chains are easy to change. But this makes them a little wider and heavier than a Husqvarna 346 New Edition. But they are right up there with power.

My 6800 began life as a 6000Hi. I changed the piston and cylinder to a 6800. The "H" in the nomenclature means that it has heated handles and that switch is the switch to turn the handles off-on. My 7900's do not have heated handles but the switch for heated handles on that series of chainsaw is on the right side of the rear handle just like the ignition off-on switch is on the left side of the handle. Husqvarna 365/372's are the same way with the heated handle switch.
