Dolmar 166 metal tank repair

(1/1)

Cut4fun:
I had to do this on a sachs dolmar 166 that was leaking bar oil into the fuel tank ruining $30 a gallon fuel.

I split the tank cleaned the seam and used ThreeBond 1194 Liquid gasket for seal. Still holding to this day.
Also have used Threebond 1194 in place of base cylinder gaskets and crankcase gaskets.

I love this product, I've used it to seal up just about anything. It's what my local Yamaha dealer sold me when I asked for Yamabond 4.

That "generally speaking" product is good stuff. I have used "Hondabond" with great success it seems a little thicker than three bond, even on Harley cases and NO LEAKS that just doesn't happen with a Harley, if they quit leakin' they're out of oil!

TTT for someone asking. Pics are blocked by PB.

In first post I think I said I used Threebond 1194 to seal the tank case halves.
