I work for the Canadian Dolmar distributor and only found out about the PS6100 here. :-[ Still nothing on their web site, support and product information is sorely lacking. We have tried to order product only to find out it has been discontinued, not fun calling the dealer telling him/her. We look like idiots. The marketing people need to have a flash bang thrown under their butts. >:(

If you think Dolmar is bad, Solo is even WORSE.

BEEN TRYING TO LOCATE A SOLO 681 for a customer and can't get any where!

The customer is of the opinion that a Solo 681 is a stroked 7900, anyone have any info on the 681 or a source for them. I could order out of the UK but the £775 is nuts!

Solo designed the 6400-7300-7900 series and there is a relationship between the 7900 and the 681. The cylinder/piston of the 7900 will work on the 681 using a thicker base gasket.

Seems like Solo quit the USA market some 3 years ago.

The 681 has a 1mm stroked crank over the 7900.  Basically the 681 is a stroked 7900.  7900 crank will retrofit in a 681 so will P&C.  I just put a 7900 P&C on a new Solo 665 (baby 681) to make a 681.  Mufflers will swap.  Did notice a small alignment problem w/upper muffler screw when using the Solo muffler.
