I picked mine up from the dealer today.Put fuel in one of em and fired it up.. runs like a brand new saw.. Tomorrow I will get it dirty and run some fuel through it.

everybody needs at least one dolmar and the price on those full wrap 6100's is pretty tempting even for the the die hard stihl guys
I'm down to 1-421, 1-510, 4-5100, 1-7901, 2-6401BBK, 1-681 Solo.  See why I need a 6100 there is a gap LOL.

the only thing I dislike is it does not come with carb adjustment tool.  Had to get one black market.  If there was a one saw plan I think this 6100 would be one of the candidate, that would get my vote, if I believed in just one saw.  I know that ain't going to happen. ;D ;D ;D ;D

Ok a little feedback on the 6100, The danged thing uses way to little fuel.. I feel like I should cut til I run a tank through before taking a break.. I am too old and to out of shape to hang with this saw.. Man you can cut a LOT of wood with the 6100 before needing to refuel..
Other than that I love it.. Smooth as can be..

Glad to hear of a over-all impression of fuel economy report.

There have been other 4 cube fuel economy saws in the past.

One that comes to mind is the Husqvarna 362.

I not trying to say that the 362 is as light, powerful, and economical as the PS6100 though.

Thats how I took my breaks too.

Sounds like the 6100 would  take me out before a break now days.  Lungs aint what they used to be.

Porting is like putting two fours on your Chevy

It makes more power but doesn't help the mileage.

You get a pretty solid 45 minute run time on a tank of fuel!  Even when brushing etc. with pretty much constant throttle.

Unrelated to that comment....   We got an updated version of the 6100 earlier this fall, and it is greatly debugged from the original release.  We've been doing much better with them.
