Dolmar 166 piston
« on: October 16, 2014, 01:38:32 pm »
Folks watch what you are buying and selling out there.  Dolmar 166 piston looks like the one on the left. Not the one on right. I gave Al Smith a piston like is on the right. They are a dime a dozen.

The piston on the right maybe domed but it lacks windows plus the pin height is off .Head knocker if I ever saw one .

You know I'm stilll trying to figure out what can be done for the 14 mm pin size of a 166 without boring out the piston .I'd think the rod could be bushed  to 13 mm but it would cost more to get the crank pressed apart than the danged saw is worth .It certainly isn't something you could do with a big vise and a brass hammer .
